State of Built Heritage of India: Case of the Unprotected is a pioneering pan-India initiative by INTACH to highlight the plight of unprotected built heritage, for the first time in a systematic and holistic manner. This wide-ranging study envisions to bring to the forefront the challenges and apathy concerning unprotected built heritage as well as recommends the way forward. It draws attention to the need for urgent proactive steps and strategies before much of it is lost permanently.
