The Maritime Silk Road Initiative can be said as the outcome of our ancestors' consistent efforts in conquering hardship throughout two thousand years. The world first faced the First World War approximately 100 years ago (1914 to 1918), and the Second World War approximately 80 years ago (1931 to 1945). Post world war, most of the countries are engaged in land, naval and aerial warfare, such as the tensions between China and United States; and the Russia-Ukraine War and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, all of which have threatened global world peace. This book is divided into 9 chapters, detailing the origins of the Maritime Silk Road Initiative and highlighting the territorial disputes in South China Sea. China's development of the Trans-Eurasia Logistics (also known as China Railway Express) and the Trans-Asian Railway as well as the western countries attempting to surround China through naval warfare is the new cold-war in this modern era. Despite all that. China's high-speed rail still become top of the world in the last twenty years. This book is authored by five professors with approximately thirty thousand words and one chapter is focus on the economy relationship and changes between China and Malaysia. In commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Maritime Silk Road Initiative, we hope that the Maritime Silk Road Initiative will continue to grow towards a brighter future.
