When Richard Webi receives a letter from his girlfriend Vanessa, he promptly makes arrangements to meet her, overcoming insurmountable challenges along the way. He notices how frail she looks when he arrives in Narok, but he is glad to have reunited with her.
At her aunt’s home where she’s living together with her younger sister, she pours her heart out to him, mentioning how her father had tricked her sister into undergoing FGM, the first step in marrying her off.
