This collection compiles essays and artists’ profiles, conversations and artworks that shape the content of ‘Of Souls, Ascents & Stillness’. It features 31 singular Nigerian Contemporary Artists practising in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, whose utmost passion is to express themselves through painting. The conversations were designed to reflect artists’ sentiments and thoughts around issues such as culture and traditions, thematic framework and the impact of globalisation on Nigeria’s Art scene. Their responses revealed an exciting composition of mental landscapes capable of provoking a shift in thinking and perception. This collection is unique it aims to crystallise Abuja’s ‘Spirit of the Age!
