The book is a 50-year Commemorative book about the Singapore Sports Council (1973 – 2023). The second book in the trilogy (Sport in Singapore. The Rocky Road to Kallang Park) explored the construction of the National Stadium and the establishment of the Singapore Sports Council, both events happening in 1973. Fifty years later, examining and mapping the progress and successes associated with the Singapore Sports Council (now Sport Singapore) is possible. The task defined by CEO Lim Teck Yin in 2020 was to commemorate half a century of a vibrant statutory board and identify those operational characteristics that will ensure a healthy, successful and resilient future.
