Te Awhina Rangimarie Arahanga lives and works in Kaikoura. This is her second book and follows Darkness in Light (2014) and sets stories beside fresh, tangy poems. These works (some conceived during Covid lockdowns and others influenced by seismic shocks) are ofte spiced with huour and always come from a place of aroha — never far from ocean and mountain. In this volume Te Awhina's poems and stories are exquisitely complemented by artworks by her friends from Kaikoura's creative community.
