The book Drama in Africa has traced the development of drama in Africa and made explicit analysis on some select plays of two celebrated African playwrights, Yusufu Ladan (Nigerian) and Tawfiq al-Hakim (Egyptian), who vividly through the plays illustrate socio-economic challenges affecting not only the Hausa and Egyptians, but Africa in general.
