Biography of a Media Icon is written in a not-too-straight forward style, yet it is without ambiguity or complexity in its presentation; hence it makes for easy, enjoyable and relaxing reading; it is almost unputdownable once you start reading. To a large extent, it is contextualized but not meant to be a controversial publication so fabricated in order to make it a money-spinner of a sort. It is a genuine presentation of facts about the life and times of the subject. This is reflective of one salient fact about him-he has never been a controversial figure (not even in politics), that made it thriving on needless controversies or trivial indulgences. So, a book on him could not have been based on controversy. If he could achieve in life, and is well celebrated, not by being controversial, Biography of a Media Icon can only be a non-controversial literature destined to be a well sought-after book of history for generations and years to come. To this extent, in writing this book, I didn't intend to make it a product of controversy. Any part of the book that, therefore, has semblances of controversies was not intended. Besides, every claim in the book is verifiable because they are based on facts. My interview with Uncle Yemi provided the basic ingredients for the pudding. nevertheless, my personal knowledge of him from the late 70s, what I picked from many of our colleagues in the media and from his own close associates lend credence to the facts presented in the book. The taste of the pudding definitely is in the eating.
