Guerrillas of Tsavo records the actions and tribulations of a British Empire army at war against an enterprising, adventurous enemy. Following the military operations, as well as the personal endeavours of the troops, porters and their followers, Guerrillas of Tsavo describes the first 22 months of the First World War in the Mombasa-Voi Command in British East Africa (Kenya). Guerrillas of Tsavo brings to light the extensive part played by East Africa, in particular the communities of Taveta, Tsavo and the south coast in shaping the course of Kenya's history.
