On the occasion of the funeral of their father Fowalap TAMEZE, Mafo GOUNE NGUOGHIA Jeannette and her brothers decided to commit this work to pay tribute to him. They try to trace the history of his childhood. While some aspects of the organization and administration of polygamy in Bamileke country are revealed to us in the life of Fowalap, on the other hand, his Christian convictions almost always appear in filigree behind all his actions, thus demonstrating that despite being excommunicated, the person concerned was able to operate in his heart a syncretism of the two cultures.
