Even in the midst of the greater and the deadlier havoc on people and the planet caused by the underside of globalization for decades now, the struggle for the emancipation of the Filipino women and the Filipino nation continues. Like the other women and countries in the Global South, they navigate the tension between these struggles both in principle and in practice. Indeed, the book’s republication is much awaited.
