St. Titus Brandsma knew very well that journalism does not describe reality objectively and that it always looks at things from a certain perspective. He regularly thematized this by reminding his readers to be aware of the perspective they take. In many of his articles he tried to move them good so that they would bring out their capacity for holiness, goodness, courage, love and hope. He often brought this up kindly but he did not hesitate to put his finger on problems and to make people look in the mirror to see whether they are as good as they could be.
