This is a historical account of not only how the Cathedral of St. James the Great started but also the advent of Christianity into a traditionally core and Islamic Ibadanland. The Cathedral of St. James the Great resonates the meaning of its name - greatness. From remarkable strides made by a very young church in a heathen land, to the setbacks over the years in building a befitting cathedral-a project which spanned over seventy years-the church has birthed daughter and granddaughter churches all over western Nigeria.
