The book Holy, Mother, Virgin, Helper, Queen: A Symbolical, Theological, Historical and Devotional Look into the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto began as a collection of coats of arms of each title of the revised Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto that was shown at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City in 2020. Now, as a treatise on Marian titles, symbols and devotions, this collection by authors Kendrick Ivan B. Panganiban and Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel C. Quintos is now presented as both a group of artistic representations of the motherhood and patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary as well as an essay into the historical, theological, and devotional links of the Marian titles and symbols of Loreto. This work utilizes the ancient art of ecclesiastical heraldry, that of the crafting of coats of arms, as a means to present the via pulchritudinis (the way of beauty), which has been a tool for evangelization in the Church. It also contains a unique set of sketches of Marian images from various places in the Philippines to showcase the Filipinos’ love for Mary as Pueblo amante de Maria.
