Bangladesh and Malaysia have got geographical and cultural proximity and a common historical background. The history of a mutual exchange between the two regions is also quite long and rich. The modern states of Bangladesh and Malaysia faced each other since the early 1970s and have developed a multifaceted relationship between them. The dimensions of this relationship include politics, economy, trade and investment, culture, tourism, bilateralism, and internationalism. Some sort of religious-ideological co-sharing also marks an element of emotion in the relationship.
