Moses Ole Marima, a young boy born into the warrior traditions of the Maasai, is selected by the colonial authorities, against his family’s wishes, to enroll in a village school in pre-independent Kenya. What follows is an education journey that took Ole Marima from a life of herding cattle to the historic JFK Student airlift to study in America. When he came back, he became an MP, at only 29 years old, and served his people as a fearless protector of Maasai rights and cultural heritage.
