Indian polity, with its diverse population and complex socio-cultural fabric, has been a subject of numerous narratives concerning its political structure, federalism, and gender dynamics. This volume presents two dozen studies on wide range of issues which are broadly categorized under four parts. The introductory part presents seven chapters focusing on neo-liberal instrumentality, identity politics, subaltern resistance, women's subjectivity, the right to offend, sedition culture and Citizen's Amendment Act. It is followed by Part II, captioned contemporary political discourses includes new narratives on contemporary Indian polity, constitution for the masses, democracy and insurrection and developmental gap and statehood formation.
