Like the two earlier "International Pali Studies Weeks" (2014 and 2016), the third one, jointly organised by Nalini Balbir and Peter Skilling, was held from 11 to 14 June 2018 in Paris, at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, in the occasion of its 150th anniversary. The organisers purpose was, again, to bring to the foreground the aspects of Pali studies which do not usually receive much attention, making a point to emphasise Thailand's contribution to Pali literature and drawing attention to works in progress on not widely known texts.
