The book, entitled “Coming down from the Mountain: An Autobiography,” is the author’s autobiography. It provides details on the author’s forefathers and a description of the place in Pakistan where the author was born. The book then traces the history of the author from his high school days in a Catholic School in Pakistan, to his days as an undergraduate student in Scotland and England, his graduate school days at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and his thirty-year work experience with the World Bank in Washington D.C. The author sensitively describes each of these periods. He also describes his coping with the dual tragedy of his 32-year-old son, who died in a motorcycle accident, and the dealt of his intentionally renowned artist wife who died of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) two years ago.
