This collection of essays, Gender Politics: Women's Writings and Film in Northern Nigeria, aims at addressing the portrayal and characterization of women and issues that concern women by writers and movie producers. These are some of the questions the articles in this book attempt to answer as it hopes that the northern woman is not going to remain in the background but will rise against these challenges and prove herself to be a worthy member and contributor to the society.
