Malcolm J Smale and Gillian Watson have expanded the coverage of the original 1995 edition, Otolith Atlas of Southern African Marine Fishes, to include otoliths of 1 600 species across a wider geographical area. Includes more than 4 000 scanning electron microscope images of individual whole otoliths.
