This book is unique in discussing various dimensions of rule of law in Indian context. The rule of law traditionally confined to legal discourse, did not attempt to comprehensively look into multiple dimensions. This book attempts to redefine the idea of rule of law from multiple perspectives ranging from caste, class, religion, environment, and gender. The legal system is criticized for being biased towards those in power. Economic power influences political structures, resulting in income and social inequality.
