Six women share a space in a crumbling apartment tower, in what might be uptown New York City, where they gather for one holiday every year to film the day, and watch the ever-lengthening footage of all the previous holidays. Ruins, Child uses the lens of urban infrastructure, social commentary, folklore, choreography, and collective listening to create an ethnography of place and an ode to communal ruins.
