Politics and Law, African Perspectives is a sinew of the undercurrent of political and legal connectivity. It exposes the vexed issues of the pendency of politics trying to underplay law. This became obvious in many legal summersaults to give credence to the creeping octopus hands of politics. We are not amazed at this development for it portends the waking up of political process in a continent that had previously been hijacked by military regimes. We may therefore be praying and hoping that as civilian democracy consolidates with politics often discussed, debated in the media and public fora, politics is bound to respect legal principles.
