My Journey Under The Sultans of Wisdom is a memoir that chronicles the recent history of Oman. Ghulam Mohiuddin's narrative takes the reader back in time from the 1950s to the '70s and tells the story of important people and life in old Muscat. The author analyses major historical events that shaped and defined the reigns of His Majesty Sultan Said and His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, which together lasted nearly a century. Although the father and son ruled in economically contrasting times, wisdom, resilience and desire for peaceful international relations characterised their rules.
