Our societal habits are informed by both the narratives we have inherited from the past and the real-time narratives we create at present. As a diverse and complex society made of many parts, how does one steer through and locate oneself within the multitudes of nuanced, delicate and often contradicting narratives? Volume 1: Navigating Narratives unpacks the efforts of several makers who creatively navigate through these otherwise intricate layers of societal narratives within their own fields of operation. This publication therefore invites all Malaysians to reflect upon - through the action of these makers - why we create narrative, how we deliver narratives and why we choose which narrative to embrace.
