On Friday 18th October 2013, renowned Security expert, Dr. Ona Ekhomu embarked on a trip to Edo State, Nigeria to attend a cultural event organized by the Association of Esan Professionals (AEP). That journey was to change his life as he was attacked by a gang of kidnappers posing as policemen. Ekhomu’s 40 years of training in security and the martial arts were put to test as he defended AK-47 bullets and escaped from the killers. His wife was seized but later rescued by the Joint Military Task Force. Unfortunately, two of the travel party lost their lives.
